Should I do a patch test before using your products?

Yes, we always recommend patch testing before introducing any new skincare, especially if your skin is sensitive or reactive.

Apply a small amount to a discreet area and wait 24 hours. Sensitive skin deserves gentleness, including when trying something new.

Can I use your product on my face?

Yes. Calma Ezzence is suitable for both face and body.

It was formulated to be gentle enough for sensitive, reactive skin, including the delicate skin on your face. Many of our customers use a lighter layer in the daytime and a more generous layer at night.

What skin type is it for?

Calma is designed for sensitive, reactive or easily irritated skin.

It was born from lived experience with eczema and Topical Steroid Withdrawal, but it’s not limited to one condition. If your skin struggles with fragrance, strong actives or feels overwhelmed easily, Calma was created with you in mind.

What makes Calma different from other sensitive skin creams?

So many sensitive skin products feel clinical or medicinal. Others look beautiful but irritate easily.

Calma bridges that gap.

It’s rich and buttery, but not greasy. Free from essential oils and cosmetic allergens. And formulated with barrier-supporting ingredients like ceramides, niacinamide and coriander seed oil.

It’s skincare that feels comforting, not clinical.

Do you have any samples I can try first?

Yes, we do.

We understand that trying new products can feel daunting when you have sensitive skin. That’s why we offer a smaller sample size, so you can test it first and see how your skin responds before committing to a full jar.

Is your product safe to use during pregnancy?

Yes. Calma Ezzence is safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

As always, if you have specific concerns, it’s best to speak with your healthcare provider, but the formula does not contain ingredients typically advised against during pregnancy.

What’s the best product to take away on holiday?

Calma Ezzence is a great all-rounder for travel (and it's small enough to go in your hand luggage!)

It can be used on face and body, helps support the skin barrier after sun exposure, and works well in dry aeroplane air or warmer climates. Many customers love taking one jar to simplify their routine.

What if I don’t get on with the product?

Sensitive skin can be unpredictable, and no product is guaranteed to suit absolutely everyone.

If you’re unsure, we always recommend starting with the sample size first. And if you have any concerns, you can reach out directly. You’ll be speaking to me.

Are your products vegan?

Yes, all Calma products are vegan.

We are not yet formally certified, as certification is a significant investment for a small business, but we are working towards it as we grow.

Can I use it under makeup?

Yes. Although it’s rich, it absorbs beautifully.

For daytime, many customers apply a smaller amount and allow it to settle before makeup. At night, it can be layered more generously as part of a nourishing ritual.

Can I use it every day?

Yes. Calma is designed for daily use.

Some people apply a lighter layer in the morning and a thicker layer at night. It’s adaptable, which means you can use it in a way that suits your skin and your routine.

Is it fragrance free?

Yes. Calma contains no added fragrance or essential oils.

Any subtle scent you notice comes naturally from the raw ingredients themselves. We’ve intentionally avoided common irritants to keep the formula as gentle as possible.

Will it sting when I apply it?

If your skin barrier is compromised, almost any moisturiser can cause a slight initial tingle.

Many customers tell us Calma feels soothing once applied. If you’re feeling nervous about trying something new, we always recommend patch testing first or starting with a smaller size.

Sensitive skin deserves gentleness, including from you.
