“I hadn’t found a product my eyes could tolerate”: Olivia’s experience with Calma Comfort Cream

When your skin keeps reacting, trying a new moisturiser can feel daunting. For Olivia, the uncertainty was especially difficult: she didn’t know what was causing the changes in her skin, or which products she could comfortably use.

Her experience began with unexplained skin concerns, particularly around her eyes, and dryness elsewhere on her face. She wondered whether stress or a reaction to another product might be involved, but she had no clear answer.

“I got scared of using stuff because I felt like, you know, what’s causing this?”

When choosing skincare becomes stressful

Olivia found herself trying different skincare products and making changes at home, including switching to more neutral detergents. It felt as though many things could trigger another reaction.

She also sought advice from a dermatologist, but at that point still hadn’t reached a clear explanation for what she was experiencing.

The area around her eyes was the most difficult part. Although she had found ways to manage dryness elsewhere on her face, she struggled to find a product she felt her eye area could tolerate.

“I hadn’t found a product that my eyes could tolerate.”

She described waking with puffy eyes after trying other products. That experience made her understandably cautious about trying something else.

Starting with a sample

Before buying a full-size jar, Olivia tried a sample of Calma Comfort Cream.

“Obviously I was nervous at first because you get to a point where you think, I don’t know if my skin can tolerate anything.”

For her, the texture was a positive part of the experience. She liked the richness of the cream and felt the thickness suited the dry skin around her eyes.

But what mattered most was how her skin felt after using it.

“When I used it, it didn’t cause me any stinging. I didn’t have to remove it. I didn’t wake up with puffy eyes.”

These were her personal observations. After trying the sample and finding that it worked for her, she decided to buy a full-size jar.

How Olivia uses Calma now

Olivia now reaches for Comfort Cream as needed, rather than following a fixed routine with it.

She described using it on dry patches, including her chin and other areas of her face. She also continues to use it around her eyes, where finding a moisturiser she could tolerate had previously been difficult.

“Now I use it sporadically where I need it on dry patches and on flare-ups.”

For Olivia, the value was in finding a cream she felt comfortable returning to when her skin needed moisture.

Finding what works for your skin

Olivia’s story reflects something many people with reactive skin recognise: the hesitation that comes with trying another product.

Her experience is individual. Her skin condition remained unexplained, and this account does not establish its cause or show how another person’s skin will respond. Her use around the eyes describes her own routine rather than application guidance.
